Sometimes it is difficult to understand why we feel the way we do. Talking to a therapist is a positive first step to gaining better knowledge of yourself and your emotions. Psychotherapeutic counselling allows you to explore the issues and feelings you are experiencing and while a therapist will not tell you what to do, they can help you to find answers and make the changes you would like to see happen. In the initial consultation the therapist will explain the therapeutic process and their particular approach. They will want to make sure that what they offer is appropriate for you before there is any commitment on either side.
